Course Material — $19 a month
The whole path, from an empty folder to both stores.
Nineteen lessons up the roadmap, ten optional detours off it, and a video for every one — the production build, not the cut-down free one. Everything I know about getting a real app into the stores, in the order you need it.
No calls, no messages, no office hours. Just the material — and it's all here.

Generating the codebase
Go to lessonThe roadmap, as you'll actually see it. Purple is behind you, green is where you are, and the diamonds are the optional detours.
How the course works
It isn't a folder of videos. It's a route with you standing on it, and each stop does a real piece of the work.
It's a path, not a playlist
The roadmap opens where you left off, with your lesson lit up green and everything behind you in purple. Finish a stop, mark it done, and the path moves up. You never have to work out what comes next — it's drawn, and you're always standing somewhere on it.
It's your app the whole way through
From the planning lesson onwards it's your idea in the fields: your app name, your bundle ID, your database, your designs. Nothing here is a to-do list clone you build twice and throw away — what comes out the far end is the app you came to build.
Detours where your app needs them
Hanging off the path are optional lessons — payments, push notifications, sign-in with Google, file storage, email, AI features, a web app and admin panel. Take the ones your app actually needs and skip the rest. The path carries on either way.
Your pace, and nothing expires
No cohort, no start date, nobody chasing you. Stop for three weeks and the roadmap is exactly where you left it when you come back — with whatever I've added since sitting on it.
The lessons do the work with you
This is the part that's hard to explain and obvious the moment you see it. A lesson isn't a video with a transcript under it — you type your real values into it, press its buttons, and things happen on your machine.
Every command comes out with your values already in it
Your app's name, its bundle ID, your cloud project, your service name — typed into the lesson once, in a proper field. From then on the commands on the page are yours, ready to copy and run. No hunting through a snippet for the four things you were supposed to swap out.
Buttons that do the setup, not describe it
Press one and the codebase is generated. Press another and your Google Cloud project is created with the right APIs switched on, your Android app is registered and its config file put where it belongs, your production keys are written into the build. It runs on your own machine, in the open, and the lesson tells you what it just did — so you could do it by hand next time.
The lesson rewrites itself around your setup
iOS or Android, Mac or Windows — you pick, and the steps and the commands change to the ones you actually need. No reading past half a page of instructions meant for somebody else's machine.
It keeps track of what's really done
Progress is kept per project, so a second app starts clean. And the checklist on your dashboard fills itself in from the real thing — app named, bundle ID set, cloud project created, database live — rather than from boxes you ticked yourself.
The free path copies the prompts by hand. This is the version where the course drives the tools for you.
What this turns the free course into
The free course isn't the first half of this one. It's a deliberately cut-down version of it — a simpler app, built from a simpler template, with no sign-in and no database behind it. It ends with something real on your phone, and that's genuinely worth doing, but it stops well short of an app you could put in a store.
Paying doesn't unlock lesson eleven. It changes what you're building from the very first one — and then keeps going, nine lessons past where the free path stops.
The free course — ten lessons
- 1 Start here
- 2 Reality check
- 3 App Store Accounts
- 4 Editors & Agents
- 5 App planning
- 6 Designing the UI/UX
- 7 Generating the codebase
- 8 Applying your app designs
- 9 Implementing your first feature
- 10 The Production Build
Ends with a production build of a simple app, installed on your phone and on the phones of anyone you send it to. No accounts, no database, and not a candidate for the stores.
With the membership
The same ten lessons, building the real thing
Production templates instead of the cut-down one: a proper app with a Python backend and a real database behind it, sign-in, and the structure the later lessons need. Shared lessons carry the members' cut of the video and the steps the free path never sees.
Then nine more, all the way to both stores
- Backend & Development build
- Git & GitHub
- Deleting Users
- Setting up Google Cloud
- Locking in v1
- The Production Backend
- Creating a website
- App Store submission
- What now?
Plus the optional detours
- Storing images & files
- Sign-in with Google
- Push notifications
- AI features
- Deep linking
- Sending email
- Web applications & Admin panels
- Payments & Paywalls
- Collaborating with others
If you've already done the free run, none of it was wasted — but the member build starts from a different codebase, so you start that one fresh, knowing exactly what you're doing this time.
What this one doesn't come with
Me. There's no messaging me on this plan, no office hours, no call when something breaks at eleven at night and you can't tell whose fault it is.
Straight answer: most people don't reach the App Store on material alone. They stall on something small — a signing certificate, a build that fails for a reason nobody wrote down — and there's nobody there to unstick them.
But if you're the sort who finishes things without being chased, this is genuinely all you need. It's the same path I'd walk you through myself, just without me walking it.
Every lesson, every prompt, and everything I add from here.
